A message to Garcia

The author of "A Message to Garcia" shares his opinion about people that do not follow directions right away and give objections before doing what they're told. Hubbard shares how Rowan, who was given a direction by the president to deliver a message to Garcia across the Sea, did it right away with no complaints. After, Hubbard expressed his opinion about people that are not like Rowan, that before doing what they're told they give excuses and try to get out of the order. He says that these people are lazy and are not going to succeed and be well liked in life. I agree with Hubbard's point of view, today there are people like Rowan who do what they're told with no complaints but there are also people who try to get out of every situaton and give objections. Syllabus reading

In Human Geography today, we revised the syllabus and all of the classroom rules. We started off by making sure our blog from yesterday was submitted. One boy in the class didn't have his turned in. He looked everywhere but it just wasn't working out, Mr. Shek finally was able to pull his blog up to find out there was nothing on it, just a picture of a cat. After that we just started going over the syllabus while Vlad still tried to pull his blog up. The syllabus included all of the rules and requirements needed for our Human Geography class. At the end of class Vlad finally submitted his blog and all of us just started our blog for today.

John Carroll so Far

My experience at John Carroll so far has been good so far. The teachers and students have all been nice and welcoming. At first I thought I was going to have a really hard time finding my classes but it was not as hard as I thought. I was not here on Friday for orientation so I didn't have my locker number or combination, my advisor helped me with that and got me all set up with my locker. The people in my classes have been nice, I've had a lot of laughs today. I had a lot of fun today, I learned a lot and it's only been my first day so I'm exited to see what the rest of the year brings!
