Factors that affected the destruction of Houston
Class started with a lot of bickering because of the change of seats, power outage, thirst and bathroom necessities. After all of these complaints, we discussed the factors that made hurricane Harvey as bad as it was. It was the hurricane itself but also the structure of Houston and the fact that they have so much concrete, there was no where for the water to go. This all consists with the situation of the city. We also talked about the positive and negative factors of Manhattan island growing larger because of ships being sunk and trash being thrown at sea, then being covered with landfill. Personally, I think this is positive because of the increase of space and economics.
