Peter's Map

In today's class we discussed how the Peter's map is more accurate than the map we are shown and used to seeing, the mercarian. This gave me such a different view of the world and it was insane. It made me truly understand how just because a continent or country is bigger on the map it gets a lot more importance and recognition. When we flipped the map upside down, every country looked so different in size and shape, but it was still the same map. Continents like Australia, Africa, and South America looked huge but this was just because of how we were looking at it. After Friday's class I got a brand new perspective of the world, it was fascinating.
