regions and cultures

Today in class we took some notes, these all included  facts about how even though some countries are right next to each other, they can have a completely different culture. Also, some countries like Russia can have completely different people within, there can be people with completely different cultures living in one country, since it's so big. We also talked about how English is the most popular secondary language spoken in the world, also 82% of homes in the United States speak english. Lastly, we filled out a map labeling the regions of the world. I learned a lot of different regions I didn't think were there such as sub-saharan Africa. Today's class was very interesting.
