People in China eat dogs!

Today in human geo, we discussed how different cultures eat different things. Mr.Shik shared that since he's from Chicago, when he moved to Maryland and saw the way people ate crabs, he was astonished. We also discussed how things that are so sacred to us, like dogs, are EATEN in other countries!! I can't imagine this, but it was brought up that in India cows are very sacred so people there can't believe we eat cows. This got me to think that it's crazy how all humans are the same on the inside, but what they eat and do on a daily basis is so different, based on where they live. I wonder if anyone in China has pet dogs.
