Why do people migrate?

After passing out candy and going over our test, we discussed why people left their countries to go to others
Push forces:

  • civil war
  • environmental degradation
  • unemployment or underemployment
  • religious or ethnic persecution
Pull forces:

  • better economic opportunity
  • better health servuces
  • religious freedom
  • political freedom
