Test Day

In class today we took our test on Ancient Greece. I think I did good but i'm not sure. After, we started taking notes on the greek civilization and all of the things they started, like drama, theatre, history, poetry, architecture and more. The notes also gave a closer look on Sparta and Athens and how they fought in the war.

Reviewing for Test

Today in class we just reviewed for our test by looking over power pint slides we've been looking over for like 2 months. I hope I do good on this test, considering the fact my grade isn't that good right now because I got a 30 on my pop quiz. I'm going to try to study as hard as I can so I can get an A!!

Protest

Today in class, we decided to do a silent protest. It was a joke at first but then we started to realize that sitting in class not hearing about anything can be better than sitting in a class where we question everything that is taught. I love sharing opinions and listening to opinions in this class but it came to the point in which it wasn't an opinion, but statements that made me question why i'm even at school right now, because everything that my teachers are teaching right now could be false. I'm glad we as a class worked in getting this message across, I love the things we learn in here but it has come to the point where it's corrupting my believes.

Is life Real?

Today in class we had a very interesting discussion about how people's beliefs and religions are what cause war and confusions in the world. It's crazy to think that all of these arguments and discussions are based on the fact that nobody knows what happens after you die. And nobody's ever going to know, so you just don't know if what you believed in your whole life is true, you'll only know when you're dead. This makes me question reality, like how do we know events in history actually took place, if the only proof is written, and people can write lies. This all started when a slide about greek gods came up, how do we know those were fake, I mean they could've been real, and nobody's ever going to know!

Group project pt 2

Today in class we kept working on our group project, we filled out a chart for ours. I did research on Draco and I hope we get a good grade on it due to the fact that I have an F in this class.

Group project

Today in class we started a group project, ours was about the different rulers of Ancient Greece, this is what I wrote about Draco so far... Draco was an Athenian lawgiver who punished simple crimes with things as harsh as death. He was the first recorded legislator of Athens in Ancient Greece. Instead of using the system of oral laws, he used a written code that could only be enforced by a court. The citizens of Athens thought it would be a great idea to give someone the position of a law giver, but they were unaware of the harsh laws Draco would be establishing. His laws included things such as, murder and involuntary homicide, and debt slavery as a way to repay debts.
