Greece continued

I left class early today but these are the notes I had the time to get, (small in size huge in influence) although fertille valleys cover one quarter of the peninsula, only 20% is arable (suitable for farming) greek diet consists of grains, grapes and olives lack of resources most likely led to greek colonization

Greece Geography

Today in class we discussed the basic stuff about western civ and Christopher  Columbus.  I really con't know what western civ means I thought it was about people from Texas but I guess not. Test Day and last day of Human Geo

In class today, we took our final test of the semester. Human geo is over, I learned a lot of new and interesting things in this class i'll actually be remembering for a long time. Now we have western civ next week and I really don't know what that's going to be about but i'm exited to learn! I'm pretty confident in this test even though I feel like I messed up on a couple of questions in the back and last portion of the test. I really hope I do good!

Political Geography

Today in class we learned about political geography. How is the world organized? Country- an identifiable land area Nation- a population with a common culture State- a population under a single government; can be synonyms with "country" Nation continued- a group of people with a shared identity, think of it as a culture group Nation Definition- Nations are groups of people, larger than a single tribe or community, which may share a common language, institutions, religion, and/or organization in a society or culture Independent State has space or territory which has internationally recognized boundaries has people who live there on an ongoing basis has economic activity and an organized economy which regulates foreign and domestic trade and issues money has the power of social engineering, such as education
